Maybe try and talk to him about the whole being wet aspect. It’s so hard because you don’t want to embarrass them but things like “I don’t like it when mummy’s clothes get wet like when we spill our drinks it’s not nice is it so if you tell me when you need to go our clothes can stay nice and dry”. Or maybe take him to the shop let him pick out any pants he likes and any trousers then remind him that we need to keep these clothes nice because these are your favourite. Not just with potty training but also say it when he’s eating and things so it’s not too much pressure on that but it’s a gentle reminder x
I tell him not to pee on Sonic, sonic is on his underwear lol. And I remind him hourly. Before we leave, when we get there, when we’re passing a toilet, whenever I need to go as well I ask him We need to keep reminding and prompting. I think I ask him about 10 times a day
He will get there, maybe try and ask him every so often if he needs the toilet and encourage him to try. You can also try things to make it exciting like a song that you sing on the potty or a sticker when he uses it. Also celebrating trying to use the potty even if they don’t do anything x
