When/how often do you bathe your kids?

Based on a poll I just saw. My kids take baths at night before bed but I noticed many moms saying how they couldn’t imagine sending their kids to school without a shower in the morning….for us there would be no way! I’d have to wake them up at 5:30am to make it possible…..

Depends on the day! Sometimes it’s both morning & night, sometimes (more often) it’s just night time. 🤷‍♀️

Evening but not every night

1-2x a week

Every night ! I couldn't imagine going to bed dirty after playing all day. Starting at 3 months bath time is an every night thing no exceptions

Depends on the day. Usually just once in the morning. But today he played at the park and was a mess so he got another bath before bed.

Every second evening. Trying to get into every evening though then I'm sure once its niw a routine it's easier to have the strength to continue.

Every night, but sometimes we skip a night. I do it before dinner, but I’m starting to think I should switch dinner & bath time around lol.

Morning and night. Even if it’s just a night rinse because children get messy in the day. But morning is absolutely essential. We lose way too many bodily fluids in the night to not have a good rinse and be fresh for a new day. Climate is also something to take into consideration. When I had to have a super early start with my LO (out the house by 5:30am) I would just wipe her down in the morning while she slept and dress her up while she slept. It’s usually cold in the U.K. anyway lol. But she would 100% scrub down in the night. I believe twice a day is doable if you have a routine in place

Morning and night, bath at night and a quick shower in the morning. I'm sorry but you can smell some children that have not washed in days during the warmer weather and it's so unfair to them. It also cultivates a culture of poor hygiene in later life (for some). Parents who wash their kids anything but daily, do you adopt the same practices for yourself?

@Katie I use to do this, then they'd get filthy and I'd end up with extra PJ's to wash😔

@DC💙🩷💜 Exactly ♥️

@Olivia Thissss......I have 3 kids to get ready, I know people with 6 who shower them before school each day, there's no excuse honestly.

@Anita this!!!! And adults too 🥹😭 you can smell the staleness but I don’t think people who have done this for a while realise they don’t smell great sigh. So sad

@Anita we were 4 growing up & my mum would scrub us all down without fail twice a day with no help and get us to school for 7:30am, hair done, dressed and fed, it’s just mindset.

@Olivia I think it's a culture thing because if I'm running late it the morning, I put all three of my kids in one big bath and scrub them, then shower them off to save time.

@Olivia those morning scrubs, we use to call cowboy baths....no time to play, scrub and out!

@Anita 😂😂😂😂 love the name I still have just 1 but I do this when my 3 nephews come over. Big bath with the three boys scrub, rinse and out!

My oldest has a shower every morning before school. She is 8 and has started puberty. My youngest has a bath in the afternoon on some days. Extras if she is dirty or sweaty.

My oldest showers every morning before school. She’ll sometimes have a bath in the evening too as I bathe her sister every evening.

I voted wrong! We do baths before bed, usually every other day. I have a 4 month old though, not sure that it really applies. 😅

Every other day, if he's been playing in the mud, in the garden or park, touching things, after nursery etc of course I'm going to bathe him even if it's his off day

My youngest gets wiped down with bath wipes twice a day. The older ones are every 2-3 days depending on their level of dirtiness.
