@Tiffany me too I love staying home even though it can get a little lonely sometimes
I work from home with my daughter full time I get the best of both worlds! I get to work & get money while not missing any milestones or missing out on watching her grow & special moments! nobody says you need to stay at home or you need to go work full time. It depends on a lot of factors but this works for us. Especially with the fact that I don’t trust anybody with her.
try part time or wfh?
@Sarah what side jobs do you do?
@Sara my job cut out part time unfortunately! So I’m full-time, but I work from home two days a week and I feel like it’s still kind of hard especially now that she’s crawling and wanting to touch my computer all the time lol
@Mi’Chia I babysit (take my kiddo with me) and then I do appointment scheduling for my sister. I schedule her doctor appointments (she’s disabled), order her groceries, and help with budgeting.
It definitely depends on your lifestyle, partner and finances. I never considered staying at home until I had my first and realized I would rather cut back on a few things to be at home with her than go back to work. I was a little bored at first when she was small but once she hit the 18 month mark things started to get fun because our community has a lot of free local events. Check your local library or recreational parks near by for activities. A lot of them do story times, play groups, nature activities, movies etc. if I’m looking for some extra $ I’ll do DoorDash, instacart, Amazon flex etc.
Well I can't even return to my career (steep roofing) because of the dangers associated with it but even if I could work full time for good $ I would rather be home with my kids
I love being a stay at home mom. I’ve tried working 2x in the last 2 years since she’s been born, and they were short term. First job was about a year after she was born, lasted a few months. I stuck with one job for 7mos, but ultimately wanted to be with my toddler bc she is still breastfeeding and her sleep schedule was started to be affected. I’m working again now, only 3 days a week and early morning shifts so she will be asleep most of the time while I’m working, and so we have an extra income to help with out with household expenses.
Work from home
Going back to work at 12 weeks was rough for me. I was just finishing an internship to get my degree so when she turned 6 months I became a SAHM. At 10 months I got a job and tried to do full time with her in daycare. She did not adjust well and was constantly sick. I stopped after 11 days. The job was terrible as well and not worth the pay after daycare expenses I’m a sahm now and do side jobs and I love it. It is hard work though while also being pregnant 😅
