Constipation?

I have tried everything to try and help my daughter not be constipated. Belly rubs, prunes, apple juice, more fiber, more water, warm baths a few times a day. And nothing is working! Any suggestions?

My toddler got this way once and ended up taking her to a walk-in clinic and got her a suppository because nothing else worked and she was screaming in pain. We did also find constipation medicine in the baby aisle you could also try?

@Katie I’ve tried the mommy bliss constipation ease and it helped a little for a week and then just stopped. Hoping it ends soon. She doesn’t look in pain but I just know it’s gotta be uncomfortable

@Taylor Peterson that’s good that she doesn’t seem like she’s in pain! My girl was screaming and wouldn’t sit on the toilet anymore. We also tried juice cocktails so she liked the taste but we’d mix prune juice, pedialyte, and cranberry juice together

@Katie I’ll have to give that a try. I just feel at a loss on how to help her.

@Taylor Peterson you could always try calling the pediatrician for further advice!

@Katie I did that they recommended miralax so we are trying that as well

I would ask your doc if she can have lactulose, pretty sure it can be given to infants. It's been great for me during pregnancy so will probably be fine for your little.

Probiotic?

@Monique tried that and it helped a little but only for a short time

My boy suffers with constipation we upped his fibre and water intake, gave fresh orange and apple juice, belly exercises, warm baths nothing happened but the doctor can prescribe you some laxatives my boy had them from the age of 2 hope this helps.

Same boat, here. We had our pediatrician get us a referral to a gastroenterologist because nothing was working.

@Kristyn might try that if nothing else works
