Would you take your child out with chickenpox?

Hi ladies! My daughter is currently on day 5 of having chickenpox, most of the blisters have scabbed over but there are one or two that haven’t. We haven’t left the house since Sunday and it’s really affecting us both, my daughter keeps grabbing her shoes and running to the door saying outside and it’s breaking my heart 😭 We have a local green area and I was thinking of taking her there today to run around and kick her football, it’s usually very quiet as most parents take their kids to the playground instead, would I be a bad person for taking her outside knowing that she could possibly still be contagious?

I answered no, but I wasn't sure which to do based on the questions, different for each. Either way take your daughter out, just stay away from others and play equipment. Hope she's fully recovered soon 😊 Would you take your child out with chicken pox - yes Would I be a bad person for taking her outside knowing she could possibly still be contagious - no

I think taking her outside is fine, just don't go in busy indoor areas or pools etc (I have seen so many kids with visible chickenpox at the pool before, so inconsiderate of the parents). When my son had hand-foot-mouth we went for walks or to the park. Or on very rainy days we'd take him out for a drive to get out of the house

You both need fresh air take her out just avoid people. Your not a bad person but sometimes you need to just get away from 4 walls.

Contagion risk in fresh air away from other kids is probably really really small. I would do it.

Personally no, my boy had chicken pox in November, I was 8 months pregnant too and I just didn’t want to risk anyone else, also meant that I didn’t have my support network of my parents as my dad had never had chickenpox (nor have I ) so we went in the garden for our outdoor fix which I was grateful for though, it took around 5/7 days before everything was scabbed over for us and then we went out properly. But that’s just me and my experience 😌

I think I’ve answered this wrong as there was 2 questions, I would take her out , but I’ve said “no” as in answering to say you wouldn’t be a bad person for taking her out xx
