Growth scan

My previous two estimates have both been wrong so I’m taking my 8lb 11oz at 38 week scan with a pinch of salt

Had a 32 week scan for low lying placenta and he was around 4lbs then and then another at 37+4 and he was 6lbs 12, which think is around 47th percentile x

I just had my baby today. He was in the 97th centile in my 36 and 38 scans. They told me his estimated weight was 2.204kg at 36 weeks and 3.800kg at my 38 weeks scan. He was born today at 40+3 and his weight was 4.420kg so I think my estimated weights were pretty much accurate or even in the lower side!

I had a growth scan at 37 weeks baby girl was estimated at 7 Lb 12 she came at 38+2 and she was 7Lb 6 and half

I had a growth scan at 36+1 and they estimated baby to be 6lbs1oz, she was born at 38+2 weighing 6lbs2oz, she obviously put on more than 1oz in two weeks so I would say they’re not always accurate x

My boy was 8lb 11oz at 38 weeks. I’m taking it with a pinch of salt and not letting them pressure me into an early induction

@Maria How was your birth? I have been predicted similar but really want a natural birth still

I’m having my third growth scan next week. Each time he’s measured normal or within range. This is purely because when they have measured my stomach he’s coming up as big on the graph 😒

@Claire they advised an induction at 39 weeks but we didn't accept it and said we will have it after his due date to give him the chance to come out naturally, however he didn't want to come out! I had 3 sweep the week before induction date and didn't do anything- I was only 1 cm dilated when I went to my induction. They put in a pessary but my body overrated and had to have it taken itnout and wait to the next day to assess. The next day they broke my waters and out me on the drip after waiting (and fail) for contractions to come naturally but I started to have signs of having placenta abruption so they had to get me into a emergency c-section. I wanted a ater birth but it ended up being totally different 😪 however, I believe baby was too big to come out anyways as there was no signs of labour at all. Good luck in your journey! And don't do anything you are not happy with- we tried to do anything we could to have a natural labour but all steps failed really

@Maria Thank you. Really sorry you didn’t get the labour you wanted but hopefully you and your baby boy are happy and healthy? I’m booked in for an induction on 27th at 41 weeks as I pushed it back from 40. I’m really hoping he arrives before then, I have a sweep planned for 40+5 too. I wasn’t even considering c section as an option but trying to keep myself grounded and tell myself what will be will be
