@Ciara they didn’t mind..
It’s illegal and unsafe to have a baby in a car without a car seat so I definitely wouldn’t keep doing it. Depending on where you are some cities have Ubers with car seats in them you just might need to order it ahead of time to make sure you can book one with a car seat. Other than that it’s annoyed but a necessary inconvenience to bring a car seat along. Some car seats are also strollers so that could be a better option for a day trip
@Kato it’s only in big cities unfortunately
Oh no, I didn’t realize.
I mean this with honestly no judgement to you as I know how easy it is to take a shortcut, but car seats are designed for impact in the event of a collision. If there was a crash, the car seat could take the impact and save your babies life. In a carrier, you'd potentially crush your own baby and injured them, or God forbid worse, an awful thought. Trust me we have considered a quick taxi ride but have got our own car seat and its easy enough to get them loaded in and out in it, just heavy to carry after, but worth it for that "what if" moment as we all know car crashes do happen.
It’s irresponsible parenting and extremely dangerous to put a child in a moving vehicle without a car seat
Can you get a travel system or adapters on your stroller where the car seat can click right in so that wherever you are for the day trip, your baby can stay in the seat on the stroller
I use the graco stroller where the car seat is apart of the stroller so the car seat clicks off the stroller and clicks back in the stroller. Doesn’t anyone know if they have car seats for toddlers that click in the stroller?
Ah sorry no only the infant bucket seat. I think they make travel/compact seats for toddlers though! You’d just have to check the weight limit
If you’re in the US, Uber will not let you in the car if you do not have a car seat for the baby
