Daily activities

Hi moms my baby is 3 months old and I’m struggling to find activities for her to do. We sit and play, I have a play mat we use, tummy time for a little. We listen to the ABCs. I don’t just want to sit with cartoons on all day. We go for walks when it nice out because North Carolina weather is so unpredictable. Any suggestions?

In the morning baby will kick on the kick and play mat for like 20-30 minutes. Usually after every feed we do tummy time. Contrast cards on the floor for tummy time. Lots of books. Sometimes we literally just talk to each other. Sometimes I have to get stuff done so he goes in the bouncer and I play music for him. Even working on skills. He has been rolling front to back so now we're working on side laying and grasping objects. We are no tv here too so sometime it can be hard. If I've exhausted everything I let him watch the fan for a bit 😂

@Kay thank you so much. The fan is a friend to all babies 😂

We have a projector and our son loves it. It projects images of fish, sharks, whales, jelly fish, etc onto the ceiling. We got it off of Amazon. He also loves crinkle books and likes when we read to him. It’s never too early to read to your child! Sometimes we also do a little sway/dance to classical music but really I think any music is fine to do this with. So if you really love Taylor Swift then dance/sway with baby to that. A swing or bouncer is nice for hands free time too. If you can swing it, annual membership to a zoo or aquarium. I see that as an investment for the whole family and it’s always nice to get out of the house for a bit.

I agree with the light projector! My boy loves the colors and movement

My baby boy loves balloons! I just loosely tied them to his wrists and ankles

I sing to my baby and found that helping her do body stretches helps. I also read to her. My baby is obsessed with different color lights so we turn on our electric fireplace and describe it to her. I also have walked around house with her and describe what I see like the color, what it is where we are etc.

Oh I love those my baby just staters holding them.

hey! sounds like you're doing a great job already! have you tried some simple sensory play? like crinkly toys or soft books? babies love exploring different textures, and it can keep them entertained for a bit! 😊 I actually checked the 'Heal App' for this and here’s what it says: "It's great that you're actively looking for engaging activities for your 3-month-old! Here are two suggestions: 1. Sensory Play: Introduce different textures and sounds. You can use soft toys, crinkly fabric, or even safe household items like a whisk or a wooden spoon for her to explore. This helps stimulate her senses and encourages her to reach and grasp. 2. Interactive Reading: Choose colorful board books and read to her. Use different voices for characters and point out pictures to keep her engaged. This not only fosters a love for reading but also supports language development. Additionally, consider incorporating songs and nursery rhymes with hand motions, as babies love movement and music.

Foot piano - my little loves it. Also- I sing to him- not well- lol- play music a lot. I will give tour of the house objects telling him about my day. -What we’re gonna do together ask him what he thinks lol We read books every day. Tell him about the pictures. Go on a walk with the stroller – make sure to get out every day whether it’s for a car ride, go for an ice cream or go to the store.

Lots of nursery rhymes and ocean sounds, soothing music, and other artists that are telling stories.

Read books, listen to music and dance, hang out in the baby wearing sling while mom does dishes lol

The laundry! Yeah- it’s never ending- anyone have advice of how to keep up with it? lol
