My daughter does. She has just turned 2 and had symptoms for as long as I can remember. She had horrendous diarrhoea, bloating and general discomfort. We tried absolutely everything and nothing worked, back and forth with the doctors for about 6 months to be told it was a bug. In the end we saw a fantastic doctor and we found out she had very high inflammation levels. We cut out gluten and it all stopped and she’s been happier since. I would say, make sure you ask for a blood test before taking your child off gluten. We didn’t (doctors advice) and we have been told we need to put her back on gluten for a few weeks for a blood test. We have been unable to do so due to the pain any gluten now causes her, she will literally scream for hours on end. If you have any questions please ask as we’ve really been through it with it all 😅

@Emily is there anymore symptoms that you noticed with your daughter? My son has everything you described there. The diarrhoea, and if it’s solid it smells sour. Bloating, all my partners family call him pot belly cause his belly sticks out so much. And discomfort, it is very rare we get one day where he is happy. He’s just unhappy all the time. I know it’s something more in my gut but the doctors don’t listen. I’ll definitely be asking for blood tests when we go for his next appointment

Not a such that I can remember apart from when she passed her bowls it smelt horrendous. She would literally blow out her nappies if she was in her car seat, it was horrendous all the time. My daughter was the same, we always said she had a pot belly, it has since gone down quite a lot, within days we noticed her belly had gone down😊 oh bless him, it’s so hard when you know in your gut something isn’t right. It got to the point I took her to the doctors and told them I know it’s not a bug and there is something else going on. I wasn’t leaving without some plan😅 You know your child best! It’s heartbreaking when you know something isn’t right and your not listened too. I would definitely raise your concerns about it possibly being gluten. We are waiting for an appointment with the hospital but I doubt we will ever know if she is celiac as we can’t do the blood test now x
