Car seats
My little boy is 4months old…
He used to love his car seat was the only way I could settle him but the last 2/3 weeks he’s screamed everytime.
However he is refusing to nap in the day and he knows the car sends him to sleep (4month sleep regression) could this be why he now hates car rides…he does eventually go to sleep after about 20/30 minutes of screaming!
He’s been to a chiropractor a couple of times and nothing is physically wrong with him ie isn’t in pain.
We have the cybex car seat so it does recline too on the isofix base.
We’ve got a 5 hour journey to Cornwall early morning and I’m dreading it😢

Don’t have any actual car seat advice, but Try “the happy song” by Imogen heap while in the car. My boy (now 18 months) went through a phase of hating the car, but somehow that song settled him! Used to have it on loop 😂
Thankyou! He’s actually slept 4 out of the 4&1/2 hours with an hour break inbetween turns out he’s better at long motorway journeys than nipping the shops😂
@Stephanie that’s crazy you mention that 5 people I know have also recommended it! I’ll give it a try next time he screams xx

Put a mirror on the back seat headrest so he can see you. Play happy music keep talking to him. Give him a stuffed toy with no small parts on. Feed kiddo just before you get into car, full tummy and sleepy should hopefully mean a nice nap. Make sure you stop every 1hr to get them out stretch
