Test

I’ve googled the absolute hell out of this question and can not for the life of my find an answer, tbh it’s possible it does transfer to them but the amount is Sooo little idk if this is answerable easily.

Theres not reason for them to do a drug test on baby unless you have had substance abuse issues known to the hospital or dcf in the past. I smoke while breastfeeding and they didn’t say anything to me at his appointment. They could also get small amounts in their system simply from walking past someone on the street who’s smoking. And if no one’s ever talked to you about substance use or abuse than I wouldn’t worry at all, God forbid if something was to happen and they do a test I would take 1 uti medication and 1 cup of vinegar 1 day before the appointment and drink a lot of water you’ll pass any testing.

If your baby is in the nicu please don’t smoke and breastfeed they are already vulnerable and this isn’t me judging I smoke myself but just wait until there out and healthy x
