We have a second hand donkey we were gifted with our first. I’m not sure how much we will use it given my first spent first 6 months in a baby carrier but nice to have the option.
We have the Ickle Bubba Venus Prime. It has a detachable bassinet for the newborn which can be parent or world facing. Our toddler is also world facing. It’s really light and easy to fold down. If you do lots of trail walking etc then it might not be the best as it’s quite lightweight and not as hefty as the typical travel system but I’d definitely recommend just for regular day to day use.
We have gone for the cybex gazelle s which is tandem
Depends on your needs, we wanted a side by side and one suitable to go off road. Easy to fold/ put together (not lots of parts). Opted for the baby jogger gt I do love it. Have a 22 month old and a 10 week old - he is still in carrycot. But it’s been a godsend, only downside is it is heavy but it’s same weight as donkey. We will get a light weight one for holidays when we go in June to have aswell x
Also with baby jogger u can have side by side and put carrycot on and also buy car seat adaptors too. I went for a pram I would want after 6 months ie long term as the carrycot/ baby part is such a short term situation. Also can use a carrier too at that stage x
My son will be nearly two when my second will be born so I was wondering the same. He's abit too little to always use a buggy board too If you buy a side by side some brands you can buy a bassinet that sits in or on the pram so your toddler can be world facing and your baby can face you. Ickle bubba Venus is one I've seen that ticks those boxes. I also prefer side by side, but if you take public transport etc.. it might be abit more awkward!
