Incorrect pregnancy test?

Hi ladies is this positive or negative? First of all it was just negative and I’ve just looked at it after a few hours and this line at the top is there? I feel like it’s a faulty test? Late on my period but was late last month and still come on? I don’t think there’s a chance I’m pregnant but I took one anyway….

I just had one exactly like this and it was a false positive.

@Shannon that’s what I thought, plays tricks on your mind doesn’t it

If a line doesn’t show up within 5 minutes, anything that comes up afterwards is just dye run. X

@Chloe I’ve had lines after the 5 minutes and actually been pregnant lol. This has happened to me 3 times that I’ve been pregnant!! I’ve only had this happen once though and it was a clear blue. They’re awful for it :( x

@Chloe there was the tiniest line at the top as it was developing, then after a while the full half came. I’ve ordered some from different brands just to put my mind at ease x

@Shannon I’ve never experienced an evaporation line so I was so confused when I saw it. There was a slight bit at the top as developing then after a while the whole half appeared xx

It’s so deflating isn’t it. Test in a weeks time and you will know for sure. Use a red dye too x

@Shannon my period was late last month by a week but still came on, did a test a few days later in case and was negative. Same happening this month. I’m usually like clock work, so no idea what’s going on xx

I know you’re not supposed to look at the test after a certain time frame, but when I took a test for what would then be my August 2023 baby, it was like this. I had taken a test, it was initially negative. I put it back in the packet and then in the box and left on the side until I took it downstairs to bin it. I went downstairs about half an hour later to actually put it in the bin, but something was telling me check again, I took it back out the box and could see a very faint line. If you’ve still not gotten your period in a week, test again x
