We used tap water and stopped sterilising at 6 months old xx
Stopped using both when we stopped formula. Drinking water from the tap at 6 months x
Never used a prep machine. Tap water to drink from 6 months. Stopped sterilising at 1 year. (But I do still sterilise his dummy’s everyday)
We've used tap water from 6m and stopped sterilising about 3 days before his first birthday. With how much they crawl, walk about and pick stuff up off the floor they'll be fine. My LB has eaten sand and dirt this week 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ x
Sterilising can be stopped as soon as they’re not having formula anymore. Tap water can be given from 6 months
Tap water since 6 months old & stopped sterilising at 12 months when we went on to cows milk. Sterilising the bottles is to kill any bacteria in formula so it’s not necessary when on cows milk
We stopped using the prep machine and steriliser when he was about 1 and switched to cow’s milk. He has tap water. I don’t sterilise anything, he licks my shoes and plays with the buggy wheels when left alone for a second 😂
My little boy has always had filtered tap water to curve anxiety and we still sterilise everything over here except his water bottles which are handwashed but a brush that is exclusively for his bottles before they get sterillised( i also change out his brush once a week)
Steriliser went away as soon as my little one moved to milk. She’s been on tap water for other drinks since she’s been 6months old! Honestly, don’t panic, they are more than old enough now to get rid of all the kit x
Used prep machine for 4 months only. Tap water from 6 months. Sterilised the bottles until we switched to cows milk at 13 months, so havent sterilised for months. Washing up liquid is fine as long as youre not using formula
Stopped sterilising when we stopped formula, and we stopped using baby bottles the same day, he went straight to a sippy cup
Any drinking water after 6 months was just straight from tap and we stopped sterilising bottles from a year (we considered stopping earlier but it was so easy with UV steriliser we just continued on). Hope you can get a few different replies that eases your anxiety on it! ☺️
