Labial frenulum tear
My little one fell over this evening and knocked his lip, causing it to bleed heavily for 10minutes. I’ve now noticed what looks like his labial frenulum (The skin between your gum and upper lip) is flapping so basically it’s torn. Has anyone else had this? I feel so so sad for him. He seems fine but it must be so painful 🥺

My boy hit his mouth on the edge of his cot when he'd just learned to stand and was bouncing around. I think he must've torn his frenulum a bit. There was a lot of blood and it looked really bruised after but I think it was fine a day or two after. It maybe just bled a little bit once or twice when he was chewing on things but it didn't seem to bother him after the initial injury. I hope you're both feeling better now x
111 sent us to A&E this morning. He’s definitely torn it but there is nothing they can do for him, it needs to heal by itself 😭
