Nuby rapid cool

Hi just wondering if anyone could help with how to sterilise the nuby rapid cool? I can’t seem to find actual instructions on it! Thanks in advance x

We used cold water sterliser (milton) but I found my hands were SO dry and having a giant pan on the side all the time was a pain in the backside. I caved and bought the rapid sterliser which does it in a minute. Still have to wash them out obviously but it's great and ready to use again straight away, don't have to weight for it to cool or air dry:)

I can’t lie, I wash it with liquid & then use boiling water to wash it all out properly. Can’t exactly put it in the microwave to steam sterilise the way mam bottles do & I don’t use Milton sterilising. Most times the milk doesn’t go into the rapid cool for me, I do the hot shot method more times

We mostly only use it for the hot shot to avoid sterilising 🥲 but when I do make a feed up in it, I just fill it with boiling water and chuck half a Milton tablet in 😊

How do you do the hot shot method...? I feel like I could save myself some time here!

I use the dishwasher first and then cold water sterliser (liquid) solution for it and then boiling water to get rid of that smell. I always use hand cream after

@Becc we have the grey Nuby flask as well as the white, which acts as a thermos. So just do a small amount of water from the thermos into the bottle (for a 6oz bottle, we do 2oz of hot water), add the formula, give it a swirl then the rest of the kettle water goes into the white Nuby, cools it down and then add it to the bottle with the formula in. Saves sterilising the white Nuby as it’s only been used to cool down hot water. I do find that the smaller the bottle however that sometimes it’s still too warm for baby to drink so have to run it under the cold tap. It works best and quickest from about 6oz upwards!

@Kirsty when you do cold water sterilising do you submerge the lid under the water (in the bucket)

I use Milton for the flask and boiling water for the lid

I put the main part it in the dishwasher and handwash the top

@Melissa yeah, I pour the cold water steriliser from the cap, use a stick or something that I only used to mixed it in the water but I don’t think it matters that much
