I’d honestly not bother paying for a ‘travel system bundle’. The car seats that come with them are usually pretty shit lol. I bought the pushchair I wanted as a standalone and then a decent infant carrier seat separately. I went for the Maxi Cosi pebble as highly rated on safety tests but also budget friendly. My son’s almost 2 and in a Joie ispin 360 as was a gift from my dad but for my next, I’ll do the same of stroller separately and then a decent infant carrier and then when I know a rough idea of centiles, I’ll do a decent ERF seat (like avionaut sky or besafe stretch) to save the switch out at 3/4 years old before a high back booster. Xxx
In my own opinion getting a good quality pram is important. Why I say this is because you don’t want to get something cheap that would break easily then you purchase again if you total it up you wished you got the higher price first. I say this because I witnessed my mom buying cheaper prams back to back they kept breaking lol. But You can always purchase a second hand one? On Facebook market/ Vinted.
If you need help sources good quality affordable prams. Let me know and I’ll help you
I would get a second hand pushchair and spend the money on a decent car seat (that’s actually what I did do). You can get universal adapters so they fit onto most pushchairs although I’ve probably only done this twice as it isn’t really necessary and I hate her being in the car seat longer than absolutely necessary
I think you might be American based on your wording but if you are UK avoid brands like Puggle, Ickle Bubba, Cuggle, Kinderkraft, Team Tex. They are all poorly tested seats. Cybex, Avionaut, Axkid and Britax are safer brands to go with for car seats.
I would definitely get a good car seat (brand new) then decide how much you want to spend on a pram and consider second hand rather than the cheaper brands (they're normally easy to clean). All infant carriers from good brands fit the same pram adaptors (normally called universal or Maxi-Cosi). Have a look at Avionaut, Axkid, BeSafe, Britax, Cybex, Maxi-Cosi or Joie car seats. I would suggest sticking with an infant carrier though, as very few of the bigger seats which say they're suitable from birth will actually give a good fit for newborns, and none will fit particularly small newborns (which obviously you don't really know in advance). For prams I think it really depends on what is most important to you. We have a bugaboo donkey which has been in pretty much constant use since oldest was born 5 years ago. I love how flexible it is and it's a dream to push, even on really rough ground or up/down steps, but I wouldn't want to have to carry it up and down stairs regularly if I lived in a flat for example.
My stroller was £80 or £90 from Argos I absolutely love it!!!! It’s the ‘cuggle Rowan’ It’s cheap and very good quality
