Formula fed baby

My little boy who is nearly 10 weeks takes 3oz every 2-3 hours. I worry it isn’t enough! I was at one point giving him 4oz but he was so uncomfortable afterwards. He was sometimes finishing the full 4oz but it wasn’t very often. He is gaining weight fine and wakes maybe twice during the night. He is now 11pound 1. He is a bit refluxy so I try and give little and often, so that’s why I try to stick to the 2 hour mark. It just worries me because I see some people saying there babies are taking 5-6oz at his age!

We were told rough ‘guide’ for a baby by an a&e doctor is 150ml per kg of weight over 24 hours so your baby is around 5kg they will need 750ml over 24 hours. 3oz (120ml) every 2-3 hours is plenty 😊

Also I should add, it’s all just a guide and they go through growth spurts where they need more one week than another. As long as plenty of wet and dirty nappies and they aren’t spiking or falling off their centile dramatically then all good! 😊

I just moved my little girl who’s 10 weeks old up to 120 mls of breast milk instead of 100 mls as she sleeps 8 hours at night so only has 6 bottles in a day last time she was weighted she was 9lbs 14oz
