Yeah he’s on kendamil, he’s feeding around every 2 hours and taking 4oz and I feel as if he really struggles to burp as well!! But he seems in such discomfort especially in the night after a feed, as if he’s trying to poop and it’s been so draining because by the time I’ve fed him, managed to get a burp up and then settled him to sleep because he seems in discomfort, I feel as if I close my eyes for 5 mins and it’s time for his next feed again😭 x @Bonnie
My midwife said that formula makes them constipated and therefore that's why you don't see poos often. With my first she pooped every 2 to 3 days. I was always down the doctors and they always said they were happy to see a baby so small and new. They advised me that her digestive system was not mature and adapting still to the outside world which is why she was like she was. It was always worse at night and looked like she was in pain but they assured me after 3 to 4 weeks it would resolve as the digestive system matured and it did. X
@Emma oh thank you that’s reassuring then! Horrible seeing them be uncomfortable and not be able to do anything about it😣 but as long as it’s considered ‘normal’ that’s okay then x
Yeah exactly. My current baby is 2 weeks tomorrow and even though I've seen it before it always is horrible. 🙁 hopefully won't take to long to resolve. X
Sounds like us!!!
Have you tried Infacol? I was told to give it a go to loosen babies bowels as my little boy was the same…still a bit hard but he’s going every day
I feel you!! My baby girl is becoming so much less frequent with going to the toilet. Is your baby formula fed? Mine is x
