@Traynie was your daughter confirmed colic in the end? Did this milk make her less constipated xx
Important to remember that colic is a symptom, not a diagnosis!
We did gripe water and the windi. We always did gripe water about a half hour before bath, them the windi right after bath. We kept the water to wash him up after since he normally pooped with it. Always did it before bed so he was the most comfortable for the night. Also my son was breast feed and his gas decreased quite a bit when I cut out eggs from my diet
Also try a prebiotic
Mine had colic and it was awful. He had sooo much wind too! We had him diagnosed in hospital at 12 days and were basically told we just had to wait for him to grow out of it. We had him on comfort milk and did also try infacol, gripe water and anti colic bottles. Not sure if any of it really helped though. Gripe water was really effective for my friend’s baby though so I think it depends on each individual baby. We also had lactulose from the doctor to help him poo when he was particularly struggling.
I second that colic is a symptom! For us, changing to goat milk formula helped. But the real progress was that baby had an undiagnosed tongue tie. The combination of fixing these two things gave us a completely different baby and we have now been able to transition back to cow milk formula prior to beginning weaning absolutely fine.
@Chloe yeah the several different GP’s I saw and spoke to all said it’s colic, which is a symptom of an issue, my daughters digestive system wasn’t great, she’d poo once every 4-5 days and it was always green. She really did struggle with that end. I did find that the milk did help, but also time helped, I would change one thing every week and see if that change help, I wouldn’t bother wasting your money on different medicine, I honesty don’t believe anything worked, and I brought everything! Even did a massage course xx
No advice but I had this with my girl and it’s awful, 6pm-midnight every night for 3 months. I found changing her milk worked after trying infacol and all the other potions. We went onto SMA lactose free milk, you can buy it from boots, trial it and then if it works get it on prescription from the doctors x
