Keep going, we were like that and thought we were too early but I’m glad we kept going as he is getting it. We are on week 6 and each week we have got less and less. We’ve now only had one in a week.
But don’t give up! Keep going otherwise you’ll get into a horrible pattern where you stop and start and they won’t want to do it anymore. I’ve got a friend right now struggling with her 2.5 yr old girl. She keeps starting and then stops because she’s not being consistent with them and the stress on them both isn’t healthy. You’ve got this!! My son is doing well :) he’s holding for longer these days and knows he needs to go to the toilet before we go out
Yeah we are doing sticker chart and he is interested in it but not motivated to do anything, it’s been a day of 90% accidents, luckily he’s okay with sitting on the potty, we do half an hour alarm which he knows to go on when he hears it but just won’t do anything. Even when he pood and weed on potty he didn’t acknowledge he did it, even though we showed him and let him flush it down the loo etc
I would say try not stress, my son is 5 months into his toilet training and he acknowledges when he’s had an accident but will only on the odd occasion tell us when he needs, other times we have to take him otherwise I know he’ll just have an accident. We have good days and bad days but I know he’s voicing it more at nursery from what I’ve heard. Try not stress otherwise he’ll feed off that and it’ll become harder for you guys, have you done sticker charts? Read books on it with them? If you feel he’s not getting it then stop for a bit and maybe come back in a few weeks? Have you checked the Eric website for help with toilet training as well??
