Bottle size

Is anyone feeding a 7oz bottle yet? Our son is draining a 6oz bottle every 2.5 to 3 hours, he is on the 99th centile for height so he is a big baby. Any advice or experience would be great as our first was a terrible feedee so we are not used to this xx

Not yet, we do 5oz but 6oz first thing in the morning as he sleeps through. If baby will take the 7oz then go for it! X

I just checked and my daughter was around 10 weeks when she started taking 7oz bottles. Wasn’t every bottle she’d finish x

My son is 8 weeks old, and I have a few larger mam bottles and 2 of philips avent ones. Rest are all still 6oz, which usually is enough, but I'm slowly getting larger ones so it doesn't hit the pocket so much all at once 😂

All 3 of our babies jumped up milk intake insanely quickly. Our daughter is now 11 weeks and we offer 210ml each feed. Sometimes she downs it all, other times takes less. She is following 50th centile line. I’d say try the bottle and just let him take what he wants. 💙

Thank you everyone.xx

My son is 7 weeks and he is currently on 6oz and drains at least one of these a day. Yesterday I gave him a ready made formula which was 7 oz and he drank the lot pretty much so I’m thinking about upping his feeds too. He is also a big baby but I worry about over feeding but I suppose if he has the appetite for it then I’ll press ahead and give it to him

My babies 2 month and on 6 oz but cuz of her reflux she’s usually sicks up and oz but we go every 3:30-4 hours

My son is nearly 10 weeks and we’ve just started to offer 210ml at 7am and going to start offering 210ml at 10pm tonight too as last night he woke up looking for a bottle at 3am whereas he’s been sleeping through since 7 weeks so clearly needing more milk during the day. We’ve found with the 7am bottle he doesn’t always finish it or this morning he had 195ml but the extra is now there when he wants it 😊 x
