I would still buy a double pram, you can get cheaper on fb marketplace. I don’t recommend the bugaboo donkey as it’s heavy and a faff, but as you don’t drive it might be easier to use x
My 3.5 year old still uses the pram on long days out. If use busses a lot you might be better with a Joie Estella or Aire or a icle bubba Venus or something that folds as one unit to make it easier to fold up if there's no room on the bus
I’m going to have a 22 month age gap and I’ve decided to go for a double which turns in to a single. I was going for the donkey but after to speaking to people they find it heavy and bulky. Think we’re going to go for the Cybex gazelle unless I find any others I like better x
@Amy definitely try these before buy. These were my 2 and I really wanted the cybex but found it really heavy, high up with tiny seats and hard to steer. I got the donkey it's so light and easy to push. So glad I tried them as I wouldn't of been happy if I got the cybex 😂
@Devon it’s strange isn’t it as I’ve only heard good things about the Cybex! A close friend with twins had the donkey and she couldn’t fold it herself so she never used it and ended up selling it. Think it’s just personal preference but yeah I will be trying first 🥰
I have a similar age gap between mine and have a mountain buggy duet. I take it on buses all the time
@Amanda do you find it fits nicely on the buses or is it abit tight? Also how are the seats on the pram are they small?
@Amy I too am looking at getting the cybex gazelle as I’ve only heard good things about it. I’d love a side by side but they definitely wouldn’t fit on the buses unfortunately
The mountain buggy duet fits easily - you just have to get on the back door. It is narrow and not too long either (plus the handle bar folds). Often you can fit at least another pram besides on the bus. The pram is a bit heavy but not an issue if not regularly lifting it into a car etc…. I take it on buses in London zone 5 most days. The pram is narrow because the wheels are inset on the frame but seats are average, I’d say. My girls are now 3.5 and 16 months and both fit well. The carrycot is narrow but my baby found it snug (and liked it!) and you can then switch to the regular sits which lie flat. What I don’t like is the basket. Stuff falls out the bottom if you aren’t careful
@Amanda we live in Scotland and I think outside of London most if not all buses don’t have a back door it’s just the regular ones at the front, typical stagecoach/ first buses x
Following cause I am also 5 weeks pregnant! 😍
