Pelvic floor PT if she has access. The one I see says she sees women of all ages and might have some helpful ideas on management.
@Sarah Yeah, she’s been going to PT for years, but it’s not helping entirely. She also had a surgery where they added a mesh sling under her bladder and then the doctor told her she can’t come back anymore after she started having issues after the surgery. 😢 So awful
There are single use catheters, uncomfortable momentarily but not as bad as a long term one. Can she still feel when she goes? Like she has no control over when it happens, but can she feel when it starts happening? If she can feel it or feel the pads getting wet she should go to the bathroom and change everything so it doesn't build up to the point it leaks. Period panties over the diaper and pad combo could help. An extra diaper over the one she currently wears. Definitely go with products advertised as full incontinence like adult diapers over absorbent underwear as it'll usually hold more volume.
My PT recommend a Tenscare pelvic floor device. Unsure which one exactly, and you're still to do your exercises alongside it.
Buy a purewick! Great alternative to a catheter and great for home. So easy to deal with and she wouldn’t even have to be in pain at all. Look into it, will probably help her a lot. You can get blue chuck pads to go under her on her bed. I worked in an hospital on the oncology floor. Feel free to message me if you want to know more !
I'm so sorry fr her. There is money compensation for women injured by vaginal mesh surgery. She should sue. Maybe some of that period underwear and a incontinence underwear underneath?
Incontinence period undies, the overnight ones. Mine holds 8 tampons worth. And get a couple of cheap incontinence pads for the bed. So the sheets don’t ever get wet. They’re like $8 on shein
I saw a company named The Pure Wick. It's a non-invasive cath. But it wouldn't work if she's going out. What about a pad with period panties and a depends over it if she's leaving the house?
