yeah we’ve tried that, i’ll try that we’d. he next wakes up thanks
The big question is are we drinking formula or breastmilk? That really determines the advice we give here, but calling his doctor is for sure a must
formula xx
@Meg🫶🏻 Thanks for letting me know! Decrease in the amount he’s drinking is because he’s most likely uncomfortable . What I can advise based on my experience is tummy time! Babies should be getting tummy time anyway, but I did all day on the tummy even supervised naps. Gas was starting to come out by itself. The true concern is when baby doesn’t have a bowel movement for 72hrs. You can rub his belly with a bit of pressure in a circular motion and as a last resort use a thermometer, stick it in his butt a little and make circular motions to trigger the body into thinking he needs to pass gas or poop. That is usually last resort when all else fails, this has been told to me by doctors and nurses. What also happened around the same time is that he started to become sensitive to the formula he was on as well. The first 3 months are hell in my opinion lol, anything could really be an issue. It’s a game of canceling out
You can give a small amount of some cool boiled water to help too. My midwife and HV told me when I had my first x
he’s had a dirty nappy in the night and finished a full 5oz bottle! xx
Have you tried doing little bicycles with your little one? Which when doing this you will also take their legs and apply a little pressure to their stomach with their legs. I do it with my little boy who poops maybe once every 3-4 days. He’s doing pretty much what your baby is doing. There is also this you could try: https://youtube.com/shorts/5MLK6ggf4F8?si=74DDsC4zQOjiPhwc
