You will need one for an infant and then one around 18mo/2yrs old+ for forward facing... the infant carriers will get thrown away soon enough and you need to get a convertible car seat for the older child that can be turned into a booster seat. It's easier to buy a travel system box (stroller, infant car seat and dock for the infant car seat) the stroller can be bulky though. We had a Chicco Keyfit 30 system, (bought another dock for 2nd car) then went to Graco 3 in 1 slim fit when she was 18mo

For strollers I love our mocking bird single to double! It’s amazing as a single stroller and a double. You can get an attachment for almost any car seat and other accessories. I wish we would have gone this route the first time over a car seat + stroller that come together now that we have 2 under 2
