I don’t know why I’m only thinking about this now 🤦♀️ it wasn’t until my mum mentioned it 🤣 I have a 15 year old son and can’t remember what I did with him. What about wiping off poo is it easier
Oh no it's still a massive struggle, it's a 2 man job in this house, she screams and cries every time 🥹 no leaks though with the pull ups thankfully
Been using pull ups since he started crawling at 7 months lol. Pull ups aren’t for potty training. Still lay down for poo obviously but wee nappy changes are done standing up! Also use pampers pull ups for bedtime too. No leaks whatsoever No where near ready for the potty yet.
I use regular nappies or pull ups depending on my LBs mood, some times he'll happily lay down for a change and other times he has a meltdown so I use pull ups then. I also always lay down for a poo, but will have him stand if it's just a wee. I'm also not potty training yet as my LB isn't showing any signs he's ready x
@Becky there isn’t any rush
@Becky always wait until the child is ready. My daughter was daytime trained a week after she turned 2, & just now at 5 years old dry at night! My 18 month old is no where near ready. I will never force anything upon my children 🥰
@Becky we are clearly both on different worlds so I will end this conversation now before it ends in an argument.
@Becky I did and I thought it was rubbish in my opinion. That’s why I was ending the conversation there. Everyone has their own opinion on things & I personally don’t think it she be pushed upon others🥰
@Becky 👍🏻👍🏻
Have to agree with Jasmine on this one. Becky I noticed you changed your comment after my comment about my LB not being ready, to now say it's a myth. Even the NHS website states if they aren't ready they won't use the potty and even 2 years is early for a baby to be dry during the day. We're obviously all entitled to our own opinions but I'll be using the NHS guidance on this. I've also read that trying to get your child to use a potty before they are ready will actually make them take longer to train. There's so much conflicting information we all just need to do what is right for our own LOs x
@Keira thank you! I have also just seen she edited her original comment. Not a myth at all!!! My daughter was dry during the day within 3 days BECAUSE SHE WAS READY!!
We do pull ups in the day and then strap diapers for bed , just our preference cus shell happily lay down for the bedtime and morning change x
@Kirsty
Guys , how do you know when your baby is ready to use the potty?

Because they will tell you when they have done either a wee or a poo or are aware they are doing it. Plus being able to communicate from the child is a must
@Keira Becky has deleted all her comments 🤦🏼♀️
My lo has started recognising that she’s doing a ‘wee wee’ or ‘poo’ Cus she’ll pinch her trousers by her privates and say the words when she’s doing it. I think she’s nearing ready so we got a small potty but she’s yet to use it. I’m not trying to rush her tho I don’t want to make it more difficult when she is really ready
@Jasmine I noticed she added a comment at almost 4am and then deleted that as well but didn't realise she'd deleted them all. Like I said, we are all entitled to our own opinions but I did feel like her editing her comment after I made mine was a swipe at my understanding/choice in training. Feel like it if was a myth, waiting for LOs queues on being ready, there wouldn't be so much guidance on it 🤦🏻♀️ x
Pulls ups, she rolls around and stands up mid change so using regular nappies is a rarity nowdays
