Not sure if i just need to rant or what is going on
My LO has always been a big food/milk lover. He is now 7.5 months. We were doing amazing. Averaging 28oz of milk a day and 3 meals a day. We weaned at 4 months because of reflux if this has any impact.
He had a viral bug friday/saturday not the first or the last.
This is the first one where he refused to feed. He NEVER refuses food or milk. The only time he has refused anything was scrambled egg.
Now he's absolutely fine in himself but is categorically refusing his milk. I've managed to get 21oz in him today but 4 of that was mixed in with porridge (1 this morning and 1 this evening) and even some of that ended up being launched at me.
He had spag bol at lunch and that just got launched in a temper tantrum.
Do I just not offer him milk and wait for him to ask or what?!
I've been leaving it longer between feeds and solids but we got to 5 hours between anything today and he then only drank 2oz.
This is a child that a few days ago would have drank between 6 and 8oz a go.
Not sure if it is relevant but he's been more vocal than normal with his dinosaur impression so has possibly roared himself into a sore throat. He also discovered how to army crawl at the beginning of last week.
NHS says between 7 and 9 months they should have between 17 and 20oz a day and be on 3 meals. Did we just get lucky previously and now I need to adjust, am I over thinking this or what?
I'm a FTM just winging it. Please someone else be pulling your hair out over the same thing 😮💨
Had such a similar experience recently! Feeding has been a real challenge all of a sudden, both formula and solids - he was great before My baby is also 7.5 months Only difference is my little boy has been ill but he is teething I think they just get put off milk and sometimes food when they aren’t feeling right - which is stressful for us :/ Not got any tips im afraid but wanted to let you know we’re in the same boat ❤️ just gonna get down him whatever I can and keep offering milk and food and see how he goes x
