Can you have a period and not ovulate?

I’m 33 and January and February I ovulated (used clear blue digital ovulation test), but March and April I keep getting negatives even though I’m having ovulation symptoms. Periods are still normal. I’m thinking maybe my test could be messed up now. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes, you can still have a period and not ovulate. You can even get positive ovulation strips and not be ovulating.

Good question and I dint know that there would be a scenario like this.

Yes. I have had periods for over 2 years and not ovulated. I recently got diagnosed with pcos

Anovulation (period without ovulating) is rare, and even rarer for it to happen consistently. It’s likely you are ovulating if you’re having regular cycles. However, I wouldn’t rely on ovulation tests, they don’t confirm when or if ovulation has happened. You might also be missing the peak. Try and track BBT as it pinpoints when ovulation happens (and confirms it).

Yes. I have pcos and dont always ovulate. I had 10 cycles in a row and none with me ovulating during them. Anovulation is actually very common and most of the time is with women with pcos or other hormonal issues. If you think you aren’t ovulating I would have a ob run some blood work to see.

Yes, LUF syndrome.
