@Caroline i can't do a small party lol, immediate family alone is 20 people
Oh dang lol yeah, then I'd just do you guys and take some cute pictures 😂 ours was like 8 people including us 😅
@Caroline I do think just including grandparents would be a nice idea, maybe like a restaurant. I know the Godparents will be out of town that weekend.
I am not throwing a party. He won’t remember it but I plan on taking him out to celebrate.
I really don’t want to do a party 🫠 she won’t remember it & there’s too many people to host. It feels like it’s for everyone else except her. I just want to do something w husband, baby, & I but no clue on what we will do yet!
@Lily you are not alone. They say the first birthday is for the parents as a way to celebrate getting through the first year. So do whatever that means for you!! It's true they won't remember and it is really for others. Nothing wrong with doing something small like taking her somewhere special and having a cake
We're not planning any party. But we are going away just the three of us on a little staycation to celebrate 🫶🏻
For our first we did just the grandmas (grandpas both live out of state). It was really hard to plan ahead because of holidays (Dec 30 birthday) and trying to figure out what his naps would be like then so we just kept it small. Was actually a really good idea because alit of babies will get overwhelmed with big groups anyways and then get really fussy. For this one, we will probably do the same, but we might have an earlier celebration when his uncle and 2 nephews are in town in June
I’d love to do a small party. We’re driving 13 hours home just for my girl’s birthday his family is huge.
@Kimi you're a trooper!
I did a really small "party" for my oldest's first birthday. It was just us, the grandparents and the godparents. I made a smash cake and some little cupcakes and it was great!! Small, cheap, and made for cute pictures
