Disposable income

Looking at our finances and just wondered how much people have at the end of the month for savings, spending on clothes, takeaway etc. My new part time wage will cover our mortgage and bills which means my partner's monthly wage can be used for anything else. With the cost of living it's hard to know how much we should ensure we have each month.

Disposable income? I think my husband and I have around £600 between us disposable every month, however that's after we've paid all bills, nursery, debts, and put away a little in savings. Once we've paid off our respective debts we will have around £1600 disposable but hopefully we will move into a much bigger home by then so realistically it won't be much more than what we currently have.

I don't have a disposible income. I'm usually £240 into my £250 overdraft every single month. I take what I need from my saving for anything for my daughter that she needs that the child benefit won't cover. My bank account cries every single month at me and I just ignore it because I can't do much about it right now.

Once we’ve transferred money into the joint account to pay mortgage, bills, childcare and groceries, and some money into our savings, we’ve probably got about £700 between us I think.

I'm currently topping up my wages with my savings as my wage doesn't seem to have any disposable income spare x

Disposal income..... After the mortgage, bills, childcare costs, travel costs, food shopping. I put£100 into savings for little ones future and we have a small amount left which might go on a family day out, next size up of clothes for him or a takeaway but that's it maybe £100 a month max on those kind of things but I often use a bit of my savings or my husbands by the end of the month or family help with a food shop etc
