Any C section mamma's with Anterior Placenta?

Hi! Ive just had my 20 week scan and been told that I have Anterior placenta. Ive had 2 previous c sections ( without Anterior Placenta) and wondered if anyone had any experience of this? Ive been referred to a specialist dep for a scan and then have another scan booked in for 32 weeks. But any experiences/insights would be welcome! TIA

Yep, both pregnancies i had an anterior placenta, and it means nothing other than your placenta is at the front rather than the back. Didn't affect my EMCS or elective section either. It's normal, scans might be to check placement as they won't want to cut through it should you have a section x

I had an emergency and planned section with anterior placentas No problems with either.

Same as above - had an anterior placenta with my first which was an emergency c-section, doesn’t mean anything it’s like 50/50 whether they’re anterior or posterior

Yeah same as above. I don’t know why you’d be referred to a specialist for this.

Same, 2 pregnancies with anterior placentas and no problems with either C-sections due to that

@Alana I wasn't sure either. They said that it was a new practice and that it was due to the risk of it growing against my previous scar tissue?!

With my first two pregnancies everything was fine. Until my third pregnancy I was diagnosed with complete placenta previa. I found at 20 weeks and fully at 32 weeks. I had a schedule c section at 37 weeks and 5 days. Now my baby boy is 2 weeks old and completely healthy 💙

I had an emergency c section and had no issues ☺️

Yup literally just means at the front .. had no issues due to it

Yeah both my pregnancies I’ve had anterior placenta and high risk with both. First pregnancy I was induced which failed so lead to an elective csection, this pregnancy I’m going for elective csection again. Had absolutely no issues with my first and healing was a breeze as it was elective and not emergency xx
