We liked Aldi newborn nappies, Tesco Fred and Flo for sizes 2-4 and Lidl lupilu for sizes 5-6. We tried loads of different brands and these are just what worked best for us. Newborn Pampers leaked constantly so I really wouldn’t bother with them! But you will find out what works best for your baby. I was given a selection of different size and brand nappies as a gift at my baby shower with my first daughter and it was great to have lots of options to try. Wipes-wise, I use Huggies pure and sensitive. They are thick and soft xx
Nappies I didn’t find a huge difference but defo water wipes were best with my first. I bought a pack of pampers wipes when he was a few weeks old and he got a sore bum. He was probs sensitive but water wipes didn’t irritate him at all
Pampers are always good. We used those and also Aldi too until size 4 then noticed they started leaking, so went back to just pampers. Tried Fred and Flo but they always leaked for us, Sainsbury's were good too, boots was really naff for us. It really depends on your baby - how much they pass plus how skinny their legs are. My son had sticks for legs so you may have better luck with other nappies. But so far I have heard others also have good experience of pampers and Aldi nappies. Wipe wise my son has extremely sensitive skin so we used water wipes which are pricey, then discovered aldis dupe and they worked perfect, so we use those.
@Rhiannon Thank you! i did look at water wipes… what are the aldi dupe ones called? xx
I have bought Aldi mamia nappies, and water wipes. And once baby is a bit older I’ll transition to aldis wipes too! I’ve heard good things Xx
Mamia extra sensitive wipes. They are a white package with droplets that says 99.4% water. However, occasionally we have got the other ones - mamia sensitive fragrance free, and he's been fine with them too. But we've just stuck to mamia extra sensitive just in case!
My son is 2.5 years and still in nappies so we’ve been through them all. Nappies we will try rascal and friends from Tesco, they were best with my son, but every baby is different so getting a few different packs to try. Wipes we get the mama bear ones on subscription from Amazon. Never ripped or been too dry. Never liked the Aldi ones, pampers were ok but just preferred the Amazon ones as then we’ve always got plenty in
I would 1000% recommend amazon mama bear wipes! Been using them for around 2 years and they’re brilliant. Get them on subscription every couple of months and they work out such a good price. Find most supermarket brands are plastic free which makes them feel horrible and dry. We’ve always been fans of pampers but Aldi Nappies were good up until size 3 and then also Morrisons nappy pants are good in the bigger sizes! I’d say it’s worth buying one pack in a few different brands to see what works best for your baby as they don’t always agree with certain ones xx
We liked Aldi sizes 1-3 and Lidl sizes 4 onwards. We used pampers at night when baby was sleeping longer (size 2 onwards). We liked Huggies and Pampers wipes. Pampers are better, Huggies are cheaper and often on offer
I'm going with pampers and water wipes, I've worked in childcare for 10 years and think these are the best in my opinion, not affordable for everyone all the time but just my preference x
