Anyone started potty training yet?

With my now 4.5 year old, we made sure we had a potty upstairs and down, plus toilet seats and steps (ikea are the best), and a travel potty. We let her use them whenever she liked, asked before bathtime and in the morning, etc. We had a couple of failed attempts in big girl knickers and just give up. I was pregnant, couldn’t face all the laundry/clean up job, and if they’re not ready there’s no point pushing it. Then, at 2 years 8 months old - when we had a 6 week old baby, she just told us she wore big girl pants now and that was that 😳👏🏻 Couple of small accidents, usually at nursery when she’d been busy playing and got to the toilet but not quite on it on time - but other than that, no real issue. Night time nappies we kept until she was closer to 4 I think. I can’t actually remember. Night time is more hormones though so harder to master. She’d been dry for weeks though so we just went for it and she was fine. I’d let them lead. You can prompt but keep it fun and light
