Do you think it has helped with him?
we have an Ipad our wee boy is classed as non verbal but has started singing nursery rhythms from youtube I think it’s absolutely fine in moderation we’ve started to look at AAC apps for the ipad to help with communication x
My son is 4 and had an iPad and an Amazon tablet at different times. We have now got rid of them completely as we’ve found it’s hindering our efforts to potty train. He’s not acknowledging when he’s having a wee, etc because he is too engrossed on the screen. My son has a severe speech delay and I do think it has helped with his speech improving slightly but unfortunately it’s just not working out for us in any other aspects, he’s getting quite angry and having huge meltdowns when we are trying to limit screen time, etc xx
My son is 5, I gave him an iPad around 2.5 yrs as well. It was amazing seeing how much he understood and what puzzles he could do etc which he wouldn't, and still doesn't, take part in with physical jigsaws. He learns a lot from his iPad and loves repetition. I do have speech apps on there and communication apps, he's only just started using the app or physical cards to communicate a few things.
My son is almost 3 and non verbal currently, he has the Amazon tablet - it’s brilliant.
