Working as a midwife.

I am curious of those who work within the midwife sector. I would absolutely love to be a midwife assistant/care assistant and I heard you don’t really need qualifications for it (unsure if this is true, just what I heard from someone who does the job) ideally I’d love to be a midwife but trying to find the time for uni with a new baby and full time work is proving difficult. So my main question is, is there any jobs within that sector I could do without qualifications/experience or even just a shorter learning course. Thank you ☺️

I’m a nursery nurse/ I work alongside nicu and midwives looking after babies, I needed my nvq3 for this and done the rest of the training on the job x

Look for healthcare support worker roles within hospitals/maternity wards. You will mostly need to gain some experience somehow. You also have to now complete an NVQ whilst on the job I think.

@Scarlett thank you x

Following because I would also love this

@Jess I hope you find your answers☺️I’ve always loved the idea of the job but since having my baby I’ve loved it even more x
