HV - not supportive
Hi - are health visitors allocated to us? I have been tried to contact my HV for a while now but always get told that she will call me back as she is out on a visit but never calls back. Now I wonder if a HV is allocated to us or not?
I have been more supported by this group tbh!

I know where I live it’s that certain HV have certain areas of that catchment and that’s how it’s worked. It’s the same where I used to live too. However, in bigger places I’m not sure if they’ll have more than one HV per catchment and it’ll be whoever has space x

Yes you should have a HV assigned to you. That’s really not great that she’s not coming back to you, my HV is brill at coming back if she’s not available at the time. She did give me a leaflet which had a number that she told me to call if she wasn’t available and I wanted an answer ASAP. Not sure if it’s just relevant to Northern Ireland though- I have my little boy sleeping on me at the moment but can see if I can find it once I’m free 😊
