Car seat advice

Our parked car was hit into the other day (front passenger side door took the impact) and it is currently in the garage being sorted. It’s just crossed my mind that this is the same side my 2 year olds car seat is on but it didn’t hit the back passenger door, only the front. Would it still be best to replace the car seat due to the impact the collision would have had on the whole car or would it need to be quite an impact to need to do this?

Contact the manufacturer and ask them, in most cases it would be recommended to replace but I’d get clarity from the manufacturer first

I’d replace the car seat, as you never know, the manufacturer wouldn’t usually give out any advice other than to replace it no matter the severity of the crash, isofixes would need replacing to if you have one of those, personally I wouldn’t risk my child’s safety for a maybe it’s still safe, Id be more at peace if I knew it had never withheld impact from a crash or standby collision and will protect my baby to the fullest it can c

The insurance would pay for another car seat. Every manufacture says that even a light bump can interfere with the safety. I’d replace x
