Hip click
Has anyone been referred to the hospital after the 8 week check due to one of the baby’s hips clicking?
We’ve been referred and not sure what to expect next!

We were referred after the newborn top to toe check as baby had a click in one of the hips. My fluid level had dropped and reduced movement towards the end so possibly why. Anyways got a letter with a date and had the scan at 4 weeks old, was super quick ultrasound at the hospital on both hips and they confirmed on the spot all was fine. They are typically checking for hip dysplasia but from what I read in most cases with referrals it ends up being fine, they would just rather take precaution and always check as if it was then treatment is better sooner rather than later.
What other things do they check? I’ve got our check on Monday x

We have! They scanned her hip & it was an “immaturity” so we’re going back when she’s 3 months for a rescan to make sure it’s sorted itself. It was super quick!
