Oh the LinkedIn moms

I chuckle every time I get a post about how they are a 'present mom' because they play with their kids before preschool drop-off and play in the evening before what it sounds like 7pm bedtime. Their posts don't mention the several nannies they have to cover the various parts of the day and sleep training, the cleaning people and the meal subscription boxes that make it possible to not disrupt their work from home day with various chores. It's cute that many are touting mom and career coaching. It's fine, I'll comment something profound and get more eyes on my own products but it's clear that it's not about community building!

Hi, I think I'm missing something here... like, what's wrong??????

This sounds like jealousy tbh

You're allowed to complain. I hear you

@Clarissa complain without shaming other Moms or knowing their full story or what brings them joy. I’m all for venting and complaining but bringing another mom down in the process isn’t cool. And that last sentence is what really drives home that there may be some jealousy or competition.

What is a LinkedIn mom?

Everyone's definition of "being present" will vary and we shouldn't compare ourselves. Some of us can meditate hours at a time,, others are good at reducing their phone time, others make sure to socializing in person and actively help their family members. There's not only one way to do it right

And getting help from institutions is smart. Time is money so those who have money will use it to get more free time. Why wouldn't you do that? You'd be dumb not to... Life is short

Why has peanut become like this? It use to be so supportive of everyone

I sometimes get jealous/snarky of moms who have their sh together because I’m a WFH mom with no regular/official childcare and so I’m literally doing it all, with my husband as my only support. If I had the resources, I would definitely outsource.
