Rant but not a rant

So I had my daughter 18 months ago, best thing to ever happen to me.. her dad on the other hand was not. During pregnancy and postpartum I was treated poorly with no support and made to feel bad for having a shower/eating/going for a walk on my own etc. I have a new partner and think he would like another baby, I’...

Postpartum rage / depression?

Hi all, Is it too late to get postpartum depression/ rage? (Rant incoming) Baby will be 11 months on Thursday and the last 6-8weeks I’ve been really down, really irritated by little things, my partner in particular, anything he does annoys the hell out of me, he has ended up going to stay with his mum as “he ca...

Birth trauma counselling - PTSD

Has anyone else been referred to counselling for PTSD due to a traumatic pregnancy/birth/recovery? I have an assessment on Friday and am unsure what to expect. Please don't feel like you have to comment your story, but if I could message you, please let me know. I'd massively appreciate it.

Hair

My baby is 8 months, when his hair is damp (and sometimes dry) it’s like this but then the next moment it can be completely straight or wavy. I can’t add more pics so I’ll comment them. Why does it do that, and what has your experience been. What do you think his hair type will be, either way it doesn’t matter but j...

Episiotomy stitches

I had an episiotomy and stitches after. The stitches have come apart leaving the skin separated. I've been to Mac today who aren't stitching back up but have put me on precautionary antibiotics... Has anyone else had this. Did it come back together and heal? If so how long did it take?

Can’t accept help with baby

Im wondering if it’s just me who feels like this or if anyone else does but I really struggle to accept help with the baby! I feel like I can’t relax when my partner/family feed/change her and even if takes her out room I can’t relax until she’s back with me! So even though I get some chances to have more sleep I ca...

Baby blues & hormones

I gave birth to my baby on the 12th after I was induced 9 days early. I am struggling with moods of intense happiness and euphoria to extreme feelings of impending doom and anxiety. I feel so hormonal, much more hormonal than I ever was during pregnancy. On all accounts, everything has gone wonderfully and I know I...

Mil drama

So our LO is 10 months old and I’ve been having problems with my husbands mom. Just constantly overstepping boundaries, going out of her way to try and find a loophole out of my rules. I’ve communicated to her various times that I do not want my baby to have juice. I’ve spoken to her doctor and we’ve agreed to hold ...

How to I deal with remarks and comments

Hey everyone! My toddlers are 2&3. I don't mind having the TV intermittently through the day but I don't allow phones/tablets etc When my mum comes round she has used her phone with my youngest which has resulted in my youngest asking for it everytime she is round. I've gently asked mum if she didn't use her phone...

Do you agree that people in a relationship, shouldn’t be using the term ‘baby daddy’?

I don’t mind much, but it just feels like you should be referring to them as your partner/husband? The term ‘baby daddy’ is literally so you have something to call the person who is the father of your child, but nothing else to you. It feels a little demeaning to the partners who are being referred to as this, as th...

Anxiety tablets

Hi everybody. I have been extremely anxious since having my beautiful baby girl, she is 1 year old. The midwife that has been coming out to me was always lovely and so good to us however she recommended when my baby was around 3 months to go on anxiety medication. I never wanted to do this and didn’t but I seem to b...

Postpartum pain - how long 🙃

Delivered last Wednesday 12/11, a healthy beautiful baby girl! First baby and I was in active labor for around 6 hours, pushed unmedicated at first … then later, got the epidural (which almost didn’t happen, but thank GOD)… and pushed for around a total 5-6 hours. Delivered and had a 2nd degree tear (that I barely f...
