I will have to go back to work at the same time but won’t be working up until then, so when do I apply to prove I’ll be working the hours required to be eligible? And go make su...

Advice from other working mums

I am a stay at home mum to a beautiful 16month old. I love staying home with him all the time but found I needed an outlet to give myself something other than him to focus on. I have wanted to use my hobby of drawing and try to use it to make an online shop. I absolutely love doing it and making the extra money is h...

Maternity pay

Has anyone ever successfully negotiated their maternity pay? My employer has agreed to pay me half my monthly wage for 6 months which is £20 more than SMP. Do I have to just accept this or can I request more? My colleague got 75% of her monthly wage but apparently we are on different contracts 🤷🏻‍♀️

Applying for passport

Hi! My question is at the very end of this all. Just been looking into applying for a passport for my baby boy and it says on the government website that you need to ask somebody to verify your child’s identity. When you look into this more it says: You must work in (or be retired from) a ‘recognised profession’. Fo...
