Pregnancy Test Line Is The Wrong Direction?

My husband & I aren’t TTC, & weren’t planning to for at least several more months. Our first baby isn’t even a year old yet. Lately I’ve been having symptoms. Random nausea (but luckily not as bad as my first trimester with my son), fatigue, and (something that didn’t happen when I was pregnant with my son but I’ve heard of other people having while pregnant) really vivid dreams. Normally I rarely remember my dreams, but lately I have two-four a night that I remember well, including little details. I took a pregnancy test several days ago and there was a line so faint that I didn’t know if maybe I was just seeing things. Today, just now, I tested again. There was a faint line in the spot that isn’t for the control line… but it was facing the wrong way. I know some tests have a plus or minus, but this wasn’t one of those. It was supposed to have lines that ran parallel to each other. The faint line I’m seeing is running perpendicular to the control line. Is this a test error, or is the strip somehow in the test the wrong way? I’m kinda stressed; if I’m pregnant, it’s not planned… Also my husband goes out of town on the 1st, and so if I don’t figure out before then, it’s going to be a bit longer before I’d be able to tell him the news in person… but I suck at hiding my emotions…. There’s just a lot of anxiety right now.
