El Camino Los Gatos Hospital

Hey everyone! I am currently 33 weeks pregnant so I am going to be giving birth pretty soon! I would like to know your experience at el camino health if you’ve given birth there. Also, what did you wish you had packed in your hospital bag that wasn’t provided?

We LOVED El Camino LG! The nurses were amazing, they made us (first time parents) feel so comfortable asking random questions. They provide meals for mom & dad there but id recommend packing snacks.

I really had a great experience with my firstborn in El camino Los Gatos, de nurses were beyond amazing, they helped us out so much! I remember I packed different siz diapers, wipes and feminine pads, and they provided plenty of that and gave us more to bring home, so you don't need to pack many, the food is hospital food, so maybe healthy snacks......

I loved el camino. Just make sure you advocate if you plan on getting an epidural. Let them know a head of time what position you plan on birthing in. They were kind of surprised when I told them I wanted a different position and were hesitant, and got kind of chaotic helping me change positions. If I would have told them a head of time it would likely have felt less chaotic. They were all super nice , just surprised.

Congrats!! I actually didn’t use very much of my things packed because much of it was provided, but what was helpful to have on hand was chapstick (got really dry after pushing) and eye mask for some rest with nurses coming in and out of the room. I also really liked having the frida mom recovery kit on hand - their ice pads are soooo much nicer and more comfortable

AMAZING experience!

I’d definitely pack hair ties, comfy underwear I don’t like the hospitals they provide, a robe and your own body soap and shampoos, a neck pillow when tired and needed to sit up to BF baby!

Thank you sooo much ladies! ❤️
