Positive Propess Induction of Labour Stories

Hello, despite our preference for a spontaneous, natural labour, we’re booked for an outpatient propess induction on Friday. I’ll be 41 weeks (40+7). I’ll have the pessary/gel fitted and return home the same day with the hope it helps get things moving, whilst allowing us to have elements of the natural labour we want. Has anyone else had a similar experience? **Positive experiences only please 🙏🏻**

Yessss I had this with my first ☺️. Went home and pains started about 3 hours after pessary inserted. Went back to hospital that night as thought they might check me but they were keen to wait 24 hours before checking me so returned home and laboured through the night at home. Returned to hospital next morning and was 4cm, had my waters broke and my little girl was here about 6 hours later with just the use of gas and air x

Wasn't sent home as I get induced early due to medical reasons, but I had the propess pessary on Monday at 5pm, had pains every 5mins solid from 8pm onwards, examined at 24hrs with no physical changes and would do the tablet at 10pm if no change still - an hour later (7pm) my waters broke/starting leaking spontaneously while sat on birthing ball about to have hospital dinner 😅 contractions ramped up massively and I gave birth at 9:41pm last night, didn't even have time for epidural lol this is my second though - my first took all three pessary/gel attempts, and them breaking my waters, to then epidural and still pretty quick at 7 hour labour x
