I'm not sure how normal but I feel dads take more time to bond with baby. If u feel kicks ur at least 19+ weeks. Give him some time. Does he talk to baby or touch ur belly when not moving?
My oldest daughter is freaked out by feeling baby move but youngest loves it.
My daughter thinks its odd and scary creepy like an alien in there.... 😄 shes almost 14
@Kasey my daughter was 8 and was pretty creeped out at first too lol. But the baby actually only moved when she talked to him (compared to dad lol) and that was pretty exciting to her
Thats cute. My youngest talks to my tummy alot and bub wiggles to her as she hears her most. Weird though when i am around people i dont see often and they talk etc bub goes stealth and doesnt move at all.
My partner was the same he just got scared and thought it was so weird. But as soon as our son got here he couldn't stop holding him x
My husband has tried but the baby stops moving when he touched
My husband is the same, he's so scared to feel the baby kicking. At the beginning I felt so sad, but then I got used to. I still try sometimes, and ask him to give me his hand so he can feel, but he doesn't want to. I guess is normal, but still it doesn't make me happy when this happens.
My parents were like this, my mum hated feeling it whilst pregnant and my dad never felt it, it just made them uncomfortable, my sister was the same with her kids. My partner loved to feel it as it made him feel more connected and more a part of the pregnancy but it is one of those things that can make people uncomfortable. I always thought I'd struggle with the movement side of pregnancy as pre-pregnancy the thought of feeling something move inside me grossed me out. He might change his mind as the pregnancy progresses and he's come to terms with it better.
My husband wasn't very interested in feeling the kick for a while, and then totally changed near the end...I dont know why! The timing and processing is different for all
Wow I didn't no this was considered normal and men do this. I hope your partners come around soon , especially if it's there first. My partner doesn't leave my bump alone , everyday he rubs my belly , kisses my belly and talks to the baby. I'm 17 weeks. He's been doing this since I found out at 4 weeks x
Omg my husband said the same thing!
