Hi Ashley, thanks for sharing. I’m surprised your doctor said 6 months! That must feel like a LONG time. Plus we’re not getting any younger! I’ve seen the new research that says there’s no increase in MC after a miscarriage so I’m going to start after my first cycle. I can feel how out of whack my hormones are after the miscarriage (happened on the same date as you☹️) so I’m giving my body and mind a break before getting back to it. Good luck 🍀
Jennifer, definitely seems like a long time lol but I did read that some doctors suggest that. I'm so sorry about your loss, this is definitely nothing I could've ever imagined. And it's not just me, my husband grieves daily as well. We've had unprotected twice but I don't think my body is 100% so even I did have a peak that day I don't feel like it's going to happen that fast. I ordered regulate from Amazon and WOW! It helped with my NERVES of all things. I wish you the very best and the time will come, love. ❤️
My dr told me 2 cycles after getting my d&c. I think It just depends. I’m personally terrified to even think about trying again.
@Jannise hey girl. I remembered you saying you had your MMC the same day i had my MMC & we were both given the same med (also oxytocin at hospital) & we were just 5 days apart. First, I hope you're doing well and feeling better. I just thought I'd share my update that my first period came ystrdy. It was light as far as flow yesterday and dark in color with brown and red mix. Today is heavier with bad menstrual cramps but not worse than pre-preg menstral cramps. I did notice my cervix is low but I guess that's normal while menstruating, I didn't know that before. Again, I hope all is well for you. My inbox is always open. ❤️
My doctor told me 2 cycles after my miscarriage at 10 weeks. I just want to be pregnant again 🙏🙏
I’m not sure how long to wait! I’ve had 4 miscarriages one after another I usually ovulate fast after miscarriage my dr has now advised I wait 2-3 months for my uterus to heal if it’s inflamed. But I feel I don’t want to and I just want to see what happens but idk why I keep loosing babies :( xxx
For me my doctor said to me you can be pregnant immediately, so I am pregnant after 1 months so just after I had my period
I miscarried in December, got my period in January and then was pregnant immediately after that. My doc never gave a certain timeline to wait, but then again I never took Miso.
@Karen how many weeks did you miscarry at and how long did the bleeding last if it was managed naturally? I’m miscarrying now at 12 weeks but the baby stopped growing at 8 weeks. How long after you stopped bleeding did it take to get your period please?
I miscarried at 8w2d on 3/22, never had the chance to get my first period after bc I got a positive test a few days ago. My hcg was back to zero around a week and a half after the miscarriage, and I bled for between 1 and 2 weeks. My midwife said we should try for one full cycle before trying again but obviously we were not very careful.
@Melanie wow I’m sorry for your loss but also so pleased that you’re pregnant again so quickly! I had my procedure to remove it this morning and they said that as it had been in there 12 weeks I have to wait until after my first period but really hope that comes soon 🤞🏻
I miscarried on the 14 march. Didnt get my period and must’ve ovulated. Just found out yesterday that I’m pregnant 🙊 feeling scared and nervous
I was 9w2d MMC, had take cytotec, hemoragged nonstop, had to stay at hospital where they gave me more cytotec & oxytocin to help slow the bleeding. Feb 8th is when my body MC, after the placenta came out the 17th I stopped bleeding, heavy spotting until the 19th of Feb then no need for pads. HCG is norm as of 2 days ago. My Dr told me 6mnths so lining of my uterus can heal or I'd have a high chance of another MC. BUT from what I've read & researched it's better TTC in the 1st 3 months after MC compared to others who wait. I ovulated already & will see what happens. I've been tracking my ovulation (my LH levels have been in the "high" range since the 27th) & still taking my prenatal & ordered a supplement on Amazon called Regulate which a bunch of reviews showed many women conceived when taking it. I wasn't taking anything when I got pregnant this last time & it was my 1st pregnancy since having my son who is 10 so may not need it but hoping it'll help as far as conceiving quickly.
