Aww thank you, She is having lots of wet nappies so that’s a good thing, was just a little concerned as she has been going about 3 times a day the past week and then today only the once this morning but thank you for the reassurance x
When my little one was young, the health visitor said as long as you're getting at least 6 wet nappies a day (24-hour period), you don't need to worry too much. They base a lot on wet nappies and not poo. However, my little one was constipated, and we noticed it was only when she had more power formula in a day, but when we were out and used premade bottle formula, she went with ease. So get got the balance of mixing them. If you formula feed and still worried, you could look at mixing with the same brand of premade milks. X
@Chelsea oh okay I have only given her the pre made formula at the moment because she is so tiny she is only drinking small amount so just a lot easier but when I do start her on the powder I will keep this in mind :) thank you
@Amy , that's okay. Our midwife told us some babies take a while to adjust to the power as it's hard to digest, and we found it true.
Mine is 4 days old and has had a mix of wet and dirty nappies from day one - max. 4 a day
It reoly depends if baby is formula or breast fed x
My little one is being introduced to powder formula twice a day other wise she on pre made and we were told can give constipation. We get lots of wet nappies but today only one dirty x
Cue the poo explosion!! Our girl didn’t have a poop for approx 4 days. She was still having wet nappies so the midwives weren’t too concerned. They came back to check on her and that morning she’d had 2 huge poo explosions 😅 X
I look forward to the explosions then 😂

My little one can go 5 to 6 days without doing a poo, and when she does go the poo is dark green. I've tried switching milks without avail. I raised this with the midwives/ health visitors and GP who say they aren't concerned as she doesn't seem to be in discomfort or irritable. However, as a mother, I'm not happy to leave her for that many days without a dirty nappy, i notice that her farts become smelly when she has passed that 3 day mark of not going. I now give her lactulose daily and she poops daily for me now too.
Hello we have a 5 day old and he didn't poop for 3 days. Our midwife said they're not concerned, as long as he's having wet nappies thats the most important. After 3 days of nothing we had a poo explosion!
