Frimley park, royal Surrey or St Peter’s ?

I’m currently 16weeks and under frimley but I keep being told negative things about them. Which hospitals do people recommend or where did people give birth or due to give birth and what we’re your experiences ? I’m an anxious person so looking to find the most relaxed maternity unit.

I had both my girls at Frimley and can’t fault them, midwives were absolutely amazing. Every hospital will have negatives especially with the trouble the NHS are having at the moment. Congratulations 🤍

I gave birth at royal Surrey and was great my entire experience while pregnant and after was fantastic

They also did a lot of courses for free which was helpful

Frimley, I had twins there on 28/11/2022 and I can’t fault them. Great care and everyone was so lovely. I don’t know about Royal Surrey but don’t go to St Peter’s, awful place and very bad reviews for maternity care. My mum was there for cancer treatment 10 years ago and they were horrible to her so we moved her to Frimley x

Royal Surrey I had all my 3 babies and having my 4th there. Can’t fault them

St Peters do have some amazing midwives, there were a handful of midwives that I had assigned to me and absolutely loved, however majority of the staff are not as lovely as these rare people are. Overall I didn’t rate my care, and my birth was actually very traumatic because of care I received during labour. Also St Peters have just had their maternity services inspected and rated inadequate (you can read the report online)!!! If I had another child I’d have to weigh up whether being with the wonderful midwives I had assigned to me is worth it for the rest of what came with being seen at St Peters x

I was living in Woking and the closest hospital was St. Peters however I chose Frimley. It was the best choice for us, very happy with the care pre and post natal. My delivery was not straight forward so had to the rushed to the theatre in case of an assisted delivery however the doctors and the medical staff were so professional and did a great job. They followed my birth plan and everything i layed out like delayed cord clamping, skin on skin, breastfeeding support. All the checks done on baby were well done and quick. Couldn’t say anything bad-except maybe I gave birth in April last year and the ward was very hot but I am a hot person normally-i just remember being quite uncomfortable because of it but they brought me a fan so again quite lovely and supportive staff. Plus if you look online, Frimley is one of the top hospitals in England and their maternity ward is very well appreciated. Congratulations xx

Frimley are amazing! Couldnt rate them higher.

Thank you all so much 🤍

I had my son at Frimley. Literally couldn't fault them, other than a tiny thing, when I went in at the start of active labour, I had to wait in the general maternity waiting room whilst having killer contractions for quite a while because they had someone else in the examination room and there wasn't anywhere else to go. But it could be like that at all of them, it just was really horrible at the time because there were people just waiting for routine stuff in the same place and I felt quite embarrassed. Other than that it was great though. Midwives were amazing. I chose Frimley because I'd heard bad things about royal Surrey! So I think it's probably all very similar and a lot of it depends on how the birth goes on the day. If you think it would help, you can have a look for their statistics for their births, i.e. what percentage are natural births/c sections etc. I know Frimley used to post a monthly update of those on their Facebook page

I had my baby at St Peter’s in January as was actually interviewed when they did the report. I nearly died because of there lack of care and communication I would avoid at all costs.

I had my twins at Frimley in Feb and honestly couldn’t fault it - everyone was so lovely and I would definitely recommend! ☺️

I had my boy at St Peter’s wouldn’t recommend from bad experience, if I was lucky enough to have enough defiantly would pick frimley Ive heard good things about them x

Royal surrey were brilliant can't fault them especially in an emergency they also have loads of free courses and workshops x

I had 4 children (1 a twin birth) at Frimley and can’t fault them 😊
