Elective Section
Hi! Just wondering what everyone’s experience of elective section was? Was your midwife reluctant beforehand or try to convince you otherwise and what about recovery? Thanks ☺️

My elective section (well baby was bum down so my decision was made for me) went really well. I tried the turning procedure but he refused to move 🤦♀️ The staff in the PRM are fantastic both before and after the section. 100% agree with Adele, keep on top off of you pain meds and get moving as soon as you can x

I can't comment on the midwife as I elected to have it when my Labour wouldn't establish after three days! As soon as I said to the midwife in the ward she spoke to the consultant and they were happy for me to go ahead with it. The recovery was no where near as bad as I thought it would be... keep on top of pain Relief, take it easy as much as you can for as long as you can! X
